Behavior Management

We view all behavior as a form of communication and believe that behaviors serve a function or help an individual fulfill a particular need. Understanding the function of a behavior is an essential component to teaching adaptive behaviors and eliminating difficult or challenging behaviors.

These services start with a thorough clinical evaluation and functional assessment of the problem situation and end with the development of a formal behavior intervention plan. Baseline data are collected, a comprehensive behavior intervention plan is developed, family and caregivers are trained and monitoring of the behavior plan is provided by our trained behavior specialists.
